Designing for Scale, Efficiency, and Conversion.
As Otto Car set its sights on becoming the UK’s leading platform for PCO drivers, its digital presence needed a major upgrade. The existing website struggled to support key goals: streamlined onboarding, real-time vehicle inventory, and seamless integration with the internal tools that power their operations.
With growth plans underway and an expanding service footprint, the Otto Car team needed a platform that could do more — from increasing automation and improving conversion rates to supporting marketing and customer service functions without adding admin load.
Key challenges included:
- Outdated design and user flows that didn’t match mobile-first expectations
- Disconnected systems and heavy reliance on manual tasks
- Lack of real-time vehicle availability and booking tools
- A need for scalable, brand-aligned content management
- Desire for a flexible design system to support rapid iteration

Collaborative Design for a Future-Ready Platform.
Arch led the end-to-end design of Otto Car’s new digital platform, working closely with their internal development and business teams to shape a scalable, API-driven website experience.
Built around a modular design system, the platform introduces a cleaner, faster, and more intuitive journey for PCO drivers — from vehicle discovery to onboarding and booking. Every component was designed to be reusable, extensible, and easy to maintain, supporting Otto Car’s need for continuous iteration post-launch.
Crucially, the project was delivered as a true partnership: while Arch owned the UX and UI strategy, visual design, and prototyping, Otto Car’s in-house developers led the build, using Payload CMS and a headless architecture to bring the experience to life.
This collaborative approach ensured seamless handoff and a design tailored to real-world implementation needs, empowering the Otto Car team to move fast and adapt as the product evolves.
